Clean Truck Program
The San Pedro Bay Ports, a partnership of the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach, are working together to achieve an impressive and proactive goal to reduce total port emissions by 45% , and Port Truck emissions by 80% . Emission reduction is supported through a port-sponsored grant or loan subsidy. Ironman is proud to partner with the San Pedro Ports in their voluntary, proactive efforts to reduce diesel emissions in Los Angeles and Long Beach.
- Requires PM and NOx Reduction
- On-road trucks hauling containerized cargo
- Diesel-fueled drayage trucks
- Trucks over 33,000 GVWR / Class 8
Compliance Deadlines
Phase 1 - By Dec 31, 2009:
• All drayage trucks must be equipped with:
° 1994-2003 model year engine and a Level 3 (PM and NOx) retrofit, or
° 2004 or newer model year engine
Phase 2- By Dec 31, 2011:
• All drayage trucks must be equipped with:
° 1994 or newer model year engine that meets or exceeds
2007 model year California or federal emission standards
